The short version

The tools and guides here are free to use. They are information and translation help, not legal, medical, immigration, or financial advice. For anything you sign or anything with a deadline, confirm the details with the school, employer, or agency that sent it.

What this site is

Burmese Translator provides automated English–Burmese document translation, plain-language guides about American paperwork, and fill-in letter templates. It is run independently by one family and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any school district, employer, government agency, or immigration authority.

Accuracy, and its limits

Translation is produced by an automated system following professional conventions. It is accurate enough to understand a document and act on it, and it is not a certified translation. It can misread handwriting, poor photographs, and unusual formatting. Where text cannot be read, the output marks it rather than guessing.

The guides describe how these systems generally work in the United States. Rules vary by state, district, employer, and agency, and they change. Your own paperwork always governs — where the two disagree, follow your document and ask the office that sent it.

We do not provide certified translations for USCIS filings, courts, or academic credentials. See whether you actually need a certified translation.

Acceptable use

• Use the tools for documents you have a legitimate reason to read or send.
• Do not use the service to produce forged, altered, or misleading documents.
• Do not attempt to overload the service or bypass its daily limits. Capacity is shared by families who need it, and is funded personally.
• Automated scraping or bulk submission is not permitted. Organizations with volume needs should use the paid service, where the first document is free.

Your documents

Uploaded documents are processed in memory and never stored. You keep all rights to your own content. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is and is not kept.

Availability and cost

The free tools have daily limits, because each translation costs money to run and those costs are paid personally. When the daily capacity is reached, the tool asks you to return tomorrow. The service is provided as-is, without a guarantee of uptime, and may change or pause.

Our content

The guides, glossary entries, and templates on this site were written for this site. You are welcome to print them, share them, and hand them to families — that is the point. Please do not republish them as your own work or sell them.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of this free service — including missed deadlines, translation errors, or decisions made based on a translated document. This is why we repeat, in several places, that consequential documents deserve human review.
